I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm accident-prone. As a result of my klutzy nature I seem to always be in need of / searching around the house for misplaced first aid supplies. While my run-of-the-mill medicine cabinet is big enough for housing my toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash and so on, I can barely find room in it to fit a box of Band-Aids. And I need that on the ready. So rather than overstuffing said cabinet or taking up precious shelf space in my vanity or kitchen cupboards, I'm thinking my medical miscellany needs a place all their own. A can't-miss spot that screams contents inside will save your life, or make the boo boo better.
Well, with the lacquered metal Cross Medicine Cabinet designed by Thomas Ericksson for Cappellini, you can kiss the guesswork out of where your first aid items are goodbye. And with five colors to choose from (red, white, green, blue and orange), this is a fun and funky piece that will work with any decor, whether you favor shabby chic or super contemporary. The cross is one of the most recognizable and universal symbols, after all. Trust me, this will fit in just fine. Here's the thing though, each 17 x 5.7 x 17-inch cabinet costs $821. I know. I know. But if you can afford the price tag, good for you. Get one. They're cool. But if you can't, check out my other picks for pharmacy-inspired cabinets (below).
One last thing. Even though these are perfect for the bathroom, they would work nicely in the kitchen, too. Store extra bandages and antibacterial cream in them just in case you injure yourself while slicing and dicing.
Target's Present Time First Aid Medicine Cabinet, $70.
Mxyplyzyk's Mini Meds Cabinet, $25.
